Solitaire offensive play call chart for the 2017 season |
How to use the chart above.
- At the bottom of the chart, for each of the possible plays, write down the last names of the players likely to be selected for each play. Write the name of the most likely player in the first space (1-3), second most likely player in the second space (4-5), and the third most likely player in the third space (6).
- Roll the two colored dice and one white die. Cross reference the sum of the two colored dice with the down and distance to determine whether the play will be a Run or a Pass. For example, on 3rd down with 0-3 yards to go, the play will be a Run on a roll of 2-4, 6-7. The white die determines whether the play will be to the left (1-3) or the right (4-6).
- Roll the two colored dice and one white die again. Cross reference the sum of the two colored dice with the Run or Pass columns to determine the play. For example, on a Run on 3rd down with 0-3 yards to go, the play will be a Linebuck on 2, 4, 6, 7, 9-11. Cross reference the white die with the selected play on the Players chart to determine which player is selected for the play.
- If the play will be a Flat Pass, re-roll the white die to determine the direction of the play: a Flat Pass to the left (1-2), a Look-in Pass (3-4), or a Flat Pass to the right (5-6).
